Getting Started
Your first hour in Go-Go Town! is about turning tourists into Townies, earning Coins from shops, and spending EGO (blue research currency) on tech packs that unlock automation. Press F to interact with buildings, NPCs, and harvest nodes; open your mayor phone with TAB to track quests and blueprints.
Early priorities: place a General Store, connect roads, assign workers, and complete rank challenges to raise your mayor star rating. Coins pay for construction; EGO unlocks systems like couriers (Tier 3), resource zones, and expansions.

Automation & Logistics
Automation separates a sleepy village from a self-running town. Resource zones mark harvest areas for workers; couriers (unlocked at EGO Tier 3) haul goods between depots, shops, and processors. Maintenance workers keep buildings functional so production lines do not stall.
The best towns layer zones near raw materials, place storage within courier range, and stock shops from centralized depots rather than manual backpack runs. Tier 4–6 EGO tech adds faster couriers, larger zones, and processor shortcuts.

Treasure Hunting & 1.0.25831
Patch 1.0.25831 and the July 16 launch added Treasure Hunting across outer zones, the Town Hall with Arizona Smythe III, Collections tracking on your phone, and Tech Tree rebuy so you can recover missed Courier unlocks. Export converted to coin-based decoration flows — update your old Early Access routes.
Tourism now includes visitor personalities from clowns to aliens, tiered Town Rank rewards, cliff terraforming, transit terminals, and fast travel vehicles including brooms and horses. Maintenance workers send stray items to Lost and Found while you hunt fossils.

Co-op & Multiplayer
Go-Go Town! supports online co-op for up to four mayors on PC and local split-screen co-op on Nintendo Switch (two players). The host is the Mayor; guests join as Vice-Mayors with configurable permissions so kids or friends cannot spend your EGO or bulldoze districts without approval.
Online play uses Steam friends invites on PC; Switch players can join locally or online depending on platform. Ping and emotes help coordinate courier fixes and building projects when chaos hits.

Map & Expansions
The starting valley is only the beginning. Land unlocks consume Coins and EGO while pushing rank challenges that gate new biomes. The desert expansion adds heat management, unique exports, and racing content; cave systems hide rare materials and secret rooms worth scouting early.
Expansion order matters for EGO efficiency — unlocking desert too early can starve your home district of workers. Plan land purchases around courier coverage and TownCo export contracts.
