Collections App
The Collections app on your mayor phone catalogs every bug, fossil, gem, artifact, and special catch you discover in Go-Go Town! 1.0. It is the checklist for Treasure Hunting — not a shop, not EGO Tech — but missing entries silently hurt completionist goals and Town Rank bragging rights. Learn how categories fill, how the app ties to Town Hall displays, and how post-1.0 patches changed duplicate handling.
Opening Collections
Press TAB (PC) or the phone button on controller to open the widget, then select Collections. Pin the widget to your HUD if you hunt frequently — same phone menu hosts quests, blueprints, and town stats.
Each category lists discovered items, silhouettes for unknowns, and counts toward completion. Categories unlock as you enter new biomes; desert and cave sets remain locked until map expansions.
Linking to displays
Registering a find in Collections does not auto-place a display — visit Town Hall to buy aquariums, bug stands, or plinths, then manually exhibit favorites. Tourists react to well-placed museums similar to decoration happiness bonuses.
See guides/treasure-hunting for Arizona Smythe III duplicate sales and guides/creative-mode-guide if you prototype museum layouts in sandbox first.
Patch changes
Patch 1.0.25831 added Town Settings and Collections quality-of-life tweaks alongside Tech Tree rebuy support. Export removal shifted some decoration purchases to Coins — Collections progress itself stays account-wide on your save.
Co-op considerations
Collections progress typically binds to the host save in co-op. Vice-Mayors should confirm permissions before selling duplicates to Arizona — see co-op/permissions.
