Co-op

Multiplayer is a headline feature in Go-Go Town! 1.0: build with up to four friends on PC or share split-screen on Switch. The host Mayor owns the save; Vice-Mayors join with configurable permissions. Major Update 6 refined online stability and role splits before launch. Start with guides/how-to-play-co-op for a session checklist, then dive into setup pages below.

Go-Go Town! online and local co-op for up to four mayors

Subpages

Platform-specific setup avoids generic advice that fails on Switch or Steam Deck hosts.

  • co-op/online-setup — Steam invites, NAT, four-player PC
  • co-op/local-co-op — Switch split-screen, couch layout
  • co-op/permissions — Vice-Mayor locks for EGO and bulldoze

Shared economy rules

Coins and EGO draw from one pool on the host town. Unrestricted guests can accidentally buy wrong EGO packs — set permissions before first invite.

Version history

Major Update 6 focused on co-op; see updates/major-update-6 for patch context before blaming netcode for desyncs.
